Safety
We are committed to leading safety practices whilst always striving for zero injuries in the workplace. We empower our colleagues and supply chain partners to STOP if they feel unsafe, knowing full support will be provided to address their concerns.
Never compromising on safety
We are unwavering in our commitment to a best-in-class, whole-person safety approach for our teams, customers' teams and supply chain partners. In 2022, we were recognised with the BSC Sword of Honour, and in 2024, we received RoSPA's highest accolade, the Sir George Earle Trophy.
Our safety methodology also led us to achieve the first global certification of ISO 45003 for psychosocial risk management.
Our focus areas
- The Whole-Person Approach
- Risk-Based Thinking
- Continuous Improvement Methodology 4

The Whole-Person Approach
Our whole-person approach to preventing workplace harm creates parity between physical and psychological safety. We actively encourage all colleagues and supply chain partners to bring their whole selves to work, creating an inclusive, risk-free environment that is healthy and safe for everyone.

Risk-Based Thinking
EMCOR UK adopts a holistic approach to risk management. From enterprise business continuity planning to site-based task assessments, our proactive approach creates a robust organisational resilience system for all our teams, customers and supply chain partners.

Learning from Experience (LFE)
Learning from experience is our CI (continuous improvement) methodology. Built on psychologically safe foundations, our CI teams look to learn from adverse events to see that there are no repeat incidents and that we continually advance our quality models for exemplary delivery.
