Siemens Energy Case Study

The Challenge

Our customer, Siemens Energy, wanted to improve visibility on the performance of their facilities estate across both the UK and Europe. While there were many helpful data sets relating to how their facilities performed, they were held across many different systems. 

We worked closely with Siemens Energy, looking at how we could bring that data together to have a single, collective view of how their FM estate was performing. This would allow us to track whether their buildings and operations remain safe and compliant and identify where there are opportunities for efficiencies across their estate.

Our Approach

Our objective was to create a single view of their estate performance combined with smarter insights, by utilising our Insight Intelligence service. We planned to bring diverse data sets together and create a single set of reports. This would empower Siemens Energy and us to be able to make informed decisions that could drive efficiency and performance improvements.

We deployed our data-analytics platform – One Data World – which enabled us to offer a new approach to data management by collating, cleaning and securely storing key information in one easy to access interface – giving Siemens Energy and us instant answers to questions. We created tailored reporting and analytics aligned to Siemens Energy’s needs, with new visualised reports providing the next level of detail they needed. This offered real-time insights to drill-down into safety, compliance and service performance. 

Drawing on the key insights showing the estate level view and working in collaboration with Siemens Energy, our expert account management team can shape informed decisions around how to optimise and enhance facility operations across the Siemens Energy estate. These insights provide a wealth of benefits, from showing how to improve asset performance with proactive maintenance, through to live project and work order updates complete with resources allocations, financials and commentary on open risks. Thanks to One Data World, Siemens Energy now have greater cost certainty for budgeting and intelligent forecasting, with detailed safety reporting, incident management and risk mitigation. These detailed reports are made easily digestible with data splits by country, buildings with historical data and key trends highlighted. 

The Results

Insight Intelligence combines the data analytics capabilities within One Data World with the expertise of our specialist teams. This drives our ongoing approach to making insight driven decisions and implementing improvements with Siemens Energy; some of the results so far include:
