Everyday our engineers are onsite, delivering critical services including electrical, mechanical and project works, ranging from upgrading a lighting system, maintaining data centres to servicing and replacing generators.

From leading European scientific research sites to some of the most secure government and defence locations in the country, our portfolio of engineering infrastructure offers challenges that cannot be found anywhere else.

Carl - Plumbing Supervisor and Level 3 Plumbing and Heating Apprentice

I joined EMCOR UK in January 2021 as a Plumbing and Heating Apprentice and have gained a wealth of knowledge and on-the-job practical experience, supported by a helpful technical team on-site. Since then, I have started the third phase of my apprenticeship, been promoted to Plumbing Supervisor and currently lead a small team.

My favourite part of the role is having new, exciting challenges to face each day and figuring out innovative ways to address them – no two technical problems are the same. Solving those issues and delivering effective solutions to our customers is very satisfying. My future goals are to continue building my career and developing as a professional.

Dave – Head of Technical Services

I joined EMCOR UK in December 2022 as Head of Technical Services following 24 years of Army maintenance and engineering roles and active service with various deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan which gave me solid Asset and Engineering experiences. I lead all technical aspects of service delivery in a proactive, innovative and safe manner, managing costs and delivering growth for both EMCOR UK and our customers. I love being able to support my team, my colleagues and my customers on-site. This role is the longest I have had so far and is genuinely the best organisation I have had the honour to work with since leaving the military. It is refreshing and humbling to witness everyone doing their best every day and working diligently towards shared goals. 

I’m excited to continue my personal and professional development with EMCOR UK and becoming a figure within the IFM community that has knowledge across many different sectors. I’d like to continue the work I do to promote our Armed Forces Covenant commitments and remain a critical friend to support, coach, mentor and champion more junior engineers finding their way in their careers.

Daniel – Senior Energy Manager

I joined EMCOR UK in April 2024 as a Senior Energy Manager. My focus is to identify energy-saving opportunities, develop them for our customers’ investment, as well as calculate the heat loss and energy efficiency of new build data centre designs. A lot of the time, our customers don’t realise how inefficient systems are and ultimately, how much they cost to run, so I show what can be saved by helping customers understand how things work. 

I enjoy looking at problems and designing solutions, particularly if there is a technical challenge to overcome. My role within EMCOR UK allows me to get involved in the technical detail of systems; I like to understand how things work and how they can be improved, so a priority for me is learning about new technologies and processes that can be made even more efficient. I like to drive innovation for our customers and our organisation and anticipate my efforts adding significant value at EMCOR UK in the long term.
