We have been hiring and developing passionate people into our customer-based support roles for three decades, investing in their careers through education and bespoke industry training to support their career aspirations to climb the ladder to new opportunities.

Waqas - Security Operations Manager

I began my career with EMCOR UK in April 2015 as a Security Supervisor on a large utilities contract, where I managed daily security operations and helped to ensure compliance with safety protocols on one of our customer’s largest sites. In 2018, I was promoted to Security Manager, taking on greater responsibilities across multiple sites. My role expanded to include risk assessments, incident investigations, team recruitment and development and financial oversight. A typical day for me includes team briefings, site visits, client meetings and administrative tasks, all while maintaining strong relationships with the client and effective security operations. 

My favourite part of my job is the opportunity to make a positive impact on the safety and security of our team and the sites we protect. I take great satisfaction in developing and leading a motivated security team, fostering an environment where everyone feels empowered and confident in their roles. Building strong relationships with both the client and my team members are particularly rewarding, as it allows for open communication and collaboration in addressing security challenges.

Amy – Account Manager

I started my career with EMCOR UK in January 2016 as a Helpdesk Administrator. After expressing an interest in HR, EMCOR UK facilitated me gaining my CIPD Level 3 and 5. In 2020, I transferred to a contract in the Defence sector and became an Operational Support Manager, then three years later, Site Operations Manager. Today, my role is an Account Manager, with an assortment of responsibilities from managing key stakeholder relations to creating effective solutions for our customers and exceeding their expectations. Communicating with all our internal and external partners, fostering a positive work environment and creating a space where everyone can genuinely collaborate for the best possible result are key elements of my role which motivates me and gives my position variety. Delivering customer excellence for me is the epitome of my role and why I love working for EMCOR UK.  

Throughout my career, I have felt supported by EMCOR UK, and now hold a comprehensive CV demonstrating several areas of expertise, including my ILM Level 5 Operational and Leadership Management Qualification. I also attended the EMCOR UK Key Account Management Training to learn and further advance my skills. My five-year plan is to continue to professionally develop and become an Account Director within our organisation.

Rebecca – Administrative Assistant

In May 2023, I was enjoying my role working as a Cleaning Operative on one of our education contracts on the South Coast. During this time, I was completing online learning in the office when I was offered the chance to interview for an internal position of Administration Assistant. I was successful and a month later, I started my new position where I have learned a multitude of new skills, such as using financial software, understanding procurement processes and becoming a Trainer/Assessor for our Cleaning team.  

I particularly enjoy my opportunities to interact with others across the organisation, travelling to a variety of sites and being involved in new projects and experiences. I am supported by a passionate team of people who have helped me achieve my goals and will continue to encourage me as I progress through my role in the future.
