What we helped achieve


Our long-standing and trusted relationship with a microbiological research organisation was a key factor in their decision to allow us to implement our Asset Resource Management System (ARMS) in one of their main buildings.

The challenges we had to overcome

  • Created ARMS strategy for one of their sites - identified maintenance assets critical to their business by ranking 14,000 assets on business impact, risk to engineers and health and safety
  • Rectified cost inefficiencies - our implementation of ARMS created generic job plans to reduce task times by 40% and formatted these plans to suit the existing Maximo system

How we helped

  • Arranged a pilot demonstration of ARMS - took one building through the whole process to illustrate what was involved, before implementing changes across the whole site
  • Reassessed health and safety risks - constantly carried out assessments to prevent risks to engineers working with equipment in exposed environments
  • Developed condition based monitoring strategy - to further help predict asset failures, allowing us to manage their corporate risk more effectively
  • Ongoing commitment to improve services - intend to implement Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and life-cycle planning, in the near future
