EMCOR UK is delighted to announce that nominations for the highly anticipated 2019 Employee Excellence Awards will open on 1st November. This marks the 12th consecutive year that EMCOR UK has held these awards to widely recognize its employees in this manner.
Heralding the start of one of the biggest events of EMCOR UK’s year, colleagues, customers and supply chain partners are invited to nominate individuals or teams for an award before the closing date of 31st January 2019. There are 14 categories, including the highly coveted ‘Rising Star’, ‘Operational Employee of the Year’, ‘Innovation’ and ‘New ideas for making our customers lives easier.’ Last year also saw the introduction of the new ‘Unsung Hero’ award, presented to someone who has displayed incredible acts of compassion and support towards colleagues.
EMCOR UK’s Employee Excellence Awards are designed to recognise and reward colleagues for their outstanding performance during 2018—whether they work directly with clients or in EMCOR UK’s central support functions.
Judges consisting of past winners, managers and front-line staff will gather in February 2019 to select a shortlist of finalists. Finalists will be invited to attend a special gala dinner celebration on 28th March 2019 where the winners will be announced.
Adele Currie, 2018 Team Leader Award winner, commented: “I was thrilled to be nominated, it means a lot when your team recognises what you do. When my name was announced as a winner I couldn’t believe it as the other finalists had fabulous comments too. The people I work with are very special and without the support of your team and manager you can’t achieve anything.”
Keith Chanter, CEO, EMCOR UK, commented: “The Employee Excellence Awards provide us with an opportunity to recognise the impressive and broad array of talent, skill and dedication across the whole of EMCOR UK, and champion the first-class service individuals and teams provide to clients every day. We received a record number of nominations during last year’s awards, and we anticipate that even more people will get involved in the 2019 celebrations.”
