EMCOR UK CEO, Keith Chanter: "The accreditation for EMCOR UK’s headquarters in Surbiton covers a wide range of indicators including, sustainability, employee health, well-being, and welfare. EMCOR UK is actively engaged in serving community needs on a range of fronts, and now the company is pleased to be seen as an active ambassador for ethical property management."
EMCOR UK is exploring extension of fairplace across other properties; applications are currently pending from a range of leading UK companies and property industry membership bodies keen to promote the award to their members.
"At a time when businesses must demonstrate they are part of wider society, fairplace is a comprehensive accreditation which aligns good ethics with best practice across Finance, Procurement, HR, and Facilities Management as part of core business planning." says Ethical Property Foundation Chief Executive Antonia Swinson. "We have greatly enjoyed working with the team at Number One The Crescent and look forward to working further with EMCOR UK."
Fairplace has to date been awarded to Sodexo plc, Kingston University, leading aid charity CAFOD, property developers Foundation Property & Capital, and most recently RBS for its 15,400 sqm offices in Southend Essex.
All proceeds from the fairplace Award support the charitable work of the Ethical Property Foundation which provides property advice to charities and community groups. In February 2015 the Foundation became preferred supplier of land and property advice to the Charity Commission.
