EMCOR UK Announces its Apprenticeship Class of 2015 Leading a Decades-Long Industry Apprentice Scheme and Continuing The Company’s Strategy of Customer Improvement


Facilities Management (FM) provider EMCOR UK has announced its Apprenticeship Class of 2015, having accepted 20 new apprentices into its scheme effective September, 2015. Joining a company which currently has many apprentices in training, EMCOR UK has a long-established heritage in its hard FM services apprenticeship scheme which has run for decades. The scheme has resulted in hundreds of apprentices being trained to become fully qualified electricians, mechanical technicians, plumbers, and heating and ventilation technicians and fitters. As a further part of the company’s continuous customer improvement strategy, these apprentices are provided with extensive knowledge regarding EMCOR UK.

Apprenticeships are selected in partnership with a local certified training provider or college. The apprentices attend the workplace four days a week, where they’re partnered with a line manager or mentor, learning by observation and receiving guidance when performing tasks. They also spend one day a week at college, where they learn the academic aspects of their trade.

All apprentices will additionally participate in EMCOR UK’s two-day mentoring programme for leadership and teamwork, which takes place in November. This exciting apprenticeship scheme is part of the company’s long term strategy and growth plans and, coupled with the news of positive revenue results for the company in 2014, enables EMCOR UK to invest more in its future talent.
