Business Continuity

EMCOR UK customers, staff and supply chain partners can rest assured knowing that EMCOR UK has got a business continuity plan (BCP) in place to handle disruptions and disasters, should they ever arise.

Our accreditation to the international standard for business continuity - ISO 22301 - underpins the robust commitment EMCOR UK has towards understanding and prioritising threats to our business. We have the management systems in place to protect against, reduce the likelihood of, and ensure EMCOR UK recovers from disruptive incidents.

As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring business continuity, we have a well-developed, structured and rehearsed BCP to assist our operational teams in recovering from an incident as quickly as possible.

EMCOR UK’s BCP provides the structure, and the capability, for an effective response to safeguard the interests of our key stakeholders. Staff are trained to understand their roles and responsibilities in the event of an unexpected incident and respond following recognised, practised, and agreed procedures.

Our approach to business continuity will help ensure that the most important functions, services, and systems are up and running in the shortest possible time frame in order to lessen the impact on EMCOR UK operations.

Protection Against Cybercrime

In recognition of the ever-changing threat of cybercrime and to provide information assurance for employees, customers, and suppliers, EMCOR UK’s accreditation to the international certification for Information Security Management - ISO/IEC 27001:2013 - means that we have a rigorous approach to managing information safely and securely.

In order to achieve ISO/IEC 27001:2013, EMCOR UK is committed to continuously improving its information security awareness, asset management, information security training, and third party supplier assurance.

Our expertise in working in highly regulated and highly secure data environments requires a much-higher-than-norm degree of security for customers. This is due to the data integration we are putting in place to run the complex contracts we are asked to perform. Accordingly, the award of ISO/IEC 27001:2013 represents the achievement of a very important milestone for EMCOR UK.

EMCOR UK is committed to a structured approach to continually improving internal systems, processes and raising staff awareness of the principle issues.
