EMCOR UK reinforces its engineering expertise with new director role

EMCOR UK has appointed Matt Kent to the newly created role of director of engineering to reinforce its focus on delivering engineering excellence across the business. Kent has been promoted to support the strategic direction of EMCOR UK, a key part of which is building upon and capitalising on its engineering heritage to support its customers. 

Kent will define and develop engineering strategies through which exemplary standards of engineering delivery is maintained, measured and continuously improved. He will work with existing teams to bring together all engineering elements to deliver a coherent golden thread of engineering excellence at EMCOR UK. He will maintain a regular presence at customer sites to support the continued delivery of safe and effective engineering practices.

As a Chartered and Fellow Engineer, Kent has a broad background in mechanical and electrical engineering as well as significant experience in critical engineering, risk and safety management. He has a track record of successfully leading teams, implementing strategic change and delivering challenging initiatives on schedule and under budget. His journey through various positions within the company has equipped him with a deep understanding of EMCOR UK’s values, operations and objectives.
