EMCOR Group (UK) Awarded Two-Year Contract Extension For Facilities Management Services From Natural History Museum

EMCOR UK is proud to announce that it has been awarded a two-year contract extension for facilities management services at the Natural History Museum, a world-class visitor attraction and leading science research centre, at its museums in South Kensington and Tring, and storage sites in south London. EMCOR UK has been providing specialist facilities management services at the Natural History Museum (NHM) since 2001.

EMCOR will continue to perform a wide range of specialist facilities management services across the Museum's properties, which range from the Grade I listed Waterhouse building in Kensington, to the adjacent landmark Darwin Centre where Museum visitors can explore world-class science in action, in a dramatic public space. Scope of work includes: maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems; building engineering and project works; grounds management and landscaping; pest control; special events support; life cycle management; monitoring and maintenance of fire and security; FM consultancy; health, safety, quality, environment and energy management support; and being managing agent for the housekeeping contract.

Throughout the 13 consecutive years EMCOR UK has been performing facilities management services for the Natural History Museum, the scope of its contract and responsibilities has evolved and developed considerably to meet the Museum's changing requirements. As a result of EMCOR's Key Account Management approach, which is accredited to BS 11000 in Collaborative Business Relationships, EMCOR has worked closely with the Museum to continually improve upon the services offered and the savings generated.
